As one of the oldest Nursery Kindergarten English medium schools in Salt Lake City, Kolkata, we help parents and children reach their goals. Children are prepared for admission to Preparatory Class and Class 1 in well established high schools. Our staff is a group of dedicated, caring, experienced and well-qualified teachers who endeavor to meet the emotional, cognitive and physical needs of the children. Our’s is a happy, stimulating and secured environment. During Covid lockdowns, our children absolutely nailed online learning, but this year and going on, we are totally onsite with the children running around, playing, singing, talking, studying here and in-person!
Children are given individualized attention and intensive training through play activities, traditional class teaching, audio-visual aids, educational toys, computers, etc.. This combination gives them a solid foundation for development in their formative years, a stepping stone for their future career. Parents are our valued partners in our efforts to make the school a happy place for the children.And now, we are enriching our children’s minds with positive experiences, and the children are learning and they are happy!

PERSONALISED CARE
Our staff is dedicated and caring. They are patient, sincere and willing to go a long way in making each child comfortable in class and learn at their own pace. Yes, there are deadlines and assessments and there is total recognition that each child will learn if given support.
SAFETY AND TRANSPARENCY
Keeping in mind the tender age of our young learners, child safety is a top priority at LA. Parents get 24 hour CCTV access to their children. Children will never be handed over to unverified people. Our all female staff is police verified and all our centres are safety standard compliant.
FUN IN DEDICATION
In our very dedicated focused way, teachers, staff and children have fun together singing nursery rhymes, studying, telling stories, laughing, exercising, writing, etc. Our classes are well-lit, colorful, and safe. This was true of the online learning/teaching during Covid lockdowns as well.
EXPERIENCE MATTERS
In order to deliver the best early education experience to children, our methodology is crafted by curriculum and child psychology experts. We ensure that learning coincides with the developmental goal for every age so that children are joyfully engaged and are learning well.
HYGIENE
We follow strict hygiene practices at LA. Our school is cleaned every morning and afternoon thoroughly, while washrooms and classrooms are washed throughout the school time. On Saturdays, the school experiences a complete scrub from the floors to the roofs, inside and outside. Disinfectants and cleaning agents are used throughout to keep the school clean from inside and outside.
SUPPORTIVE
Teachers are available for consultation with parents every day. Parent teacher meetings help resolve issues with a child’s performance and development. Our teachers have been very supportive of the parents’ efforts in helping us teach their child virtually and on-site in the regular way!
HEALTH
We maintain as clean an environment in and around the school as possible. We teach about hygiene, good habits, and health, and advice parents accordingly. If a child is sick, parents are called to take him or her home. In any serious situation, there is a doctor on call.
TEACHING AND LEARNING
ENVIRONMENT
It is interactive. It is semi-traditional. The teaching learning environment is a smattering of play way and hands-on, Montessori, and computers. It follows instructional learning principles and is aimed at all-round development of each child. We believe in the ‘joy’ factor in our teaching approach and this was so also in the virtual world!
As a school, we espouse to take care of each child’s physical, emotional, and social well being, while ensuring that they learn and discover the essentials, and develop a love for learning in the process.
